but it's not me
PART 1
A sound installation for one audience member at the time.
“I don’t like looking at myself in the mirror I just feel I need to, I don’t know why. I have to go through a certain thing of getting ready, getting changed twenty times and putting my make up on, doing my hair... I don’t know why I do it. Maybe because it makes me feel better and makes me come across a certain way to certain people. Maybe people who are never going to speak to me and I'm never going to speak to them.”

AUDIENCE FEEDBACK
’’It was wonderful how it moves from this intimate, very vulnerable, almost confessional account and then into an increasingly hypnotic ceremony. Overall a brilliant mix of two differing formats.’’ - Aaron Minnigin, Artistic Director Tin Horse Theatre.
"When sitting in front of a mirror and listening to someone else's voice describe how they feel about themselves I felt completely isolated in the moment. I felt like shouting, laughing and crying. How hard is it to look in a mirror?" - Jamie Mckie, actor.
