STAINLESS
A 64 page, full colour, graphic novel and film project based on the inspiring life story of Harry Brearley and his discovery of Stainless Steel in South Yorkshire in 1913. These historical events are seen through the eyes of two heir hunters involved in a thrilling chase through modern day Sheffield.
The book was written by Andy Messer in the summer of 2012. The initial pencil drawings were done by Bob Moulder who then painted the historical scenes in watercolour. The contemporary scenes have been digitally illustrated by Kieron Edwards.
STAINLESS has toured around secondary schools in South Yorkshire, UK where Year 8 pupils get a free copy.
Lauren was the inspiration and model for the character of Gabbi. She also performed as her in the film part of the project.
