until we meet again
It's about those things you can do. Those things you can't and those things you shouldn't, but do anyway. Like when you do things when no one else is watching. It's about when it just feels right and you can't find the words to say. It's about a lot of things but most importantly it's about you....
The performance includes text, movement, audience participation with site specific elements. Two chosen members of the audience were invited to take on the lead characters and separately follow an audio led journey to a local supermarket. Armed with the two halves of a shopping list each were to buy selected items which were taken back to the performance space and used on stage. They were given the chance to meet each other share a drink in the bar each other before returning to the performance.

audience feedback
'Highlights from On The Edge for me were (For) As Long As Love Lasts, I loved their theatre piece. For me it encompassed the simultaneous presence and vacancy in a stale, expired relationship. The aesthetic was disconcertingly deconstructed with the relationship was stripped back to bare details. All the parts in between were conspicuous in their absence.'
'Next up we had “Until we meet again” by (For ) As Long As Love Lasts, a Sheffield based company that specializes in devised work. This was an interesting and sometimes painfully honest piece about relationships and the break down in communication that can occur. The two performers were excellent and the simple staging again was an asset adding to the stark honesty of the performance. There was also a certain amount of humour in the piece as well and ended with a cupcake being squashed on one of the actors heads.'
'I liked the fact that it was very different than any other play I've seen. I also liked that you had to think about it rather than understanding it straight away. It was very well acted and the actors gave it their all. It made me feel philosophical.'
'I really enjoyed the performance overall. It made me look at myself and how I am in a relationship. Roller coaster of emotions. Was good to see everyone has the same emotions, love, hate the breakdown.'
'I liked the randomness of some of the actions, spilling drinks and throwing cassette case and picnic box lids. Very thought provoking made me think about life decision I make/regrets'
'The cake bit was very funny and it felt very real. It made me feel thoughtful and I really liked it all.'
'I liked the stillness and dramatic character isolation of the beginning couple and their relationship. The interactive nature and drawing out of the audience.'
'Enjoyed the concept, very well performed/directed. Made me feel happy, sad and mixed emotions as it relates to life.'
'I thought it was great, it made me think and kept me on the edge of my seat.'
'I liked the emotion and competing monologues and the hilarious tension and humour between the two performers'. I felt thoughtful, very emotional in places and I laughed a lot.'It felt original and the right length.'
' I liked the precision and the reality of how particular people are. and my shopping items were used in the performance and the shopping experience was very fun. It was like my own performance that no one knew about. I felt happy, inspired and giddy.'
It was humorous and also very moving. I liked the different quotes and interaction between the couple and the water. I felt both sad and happy.'
Made me laugh. I also felt grief as it brought up my own memories and it made me think.'
'I liked the silence, it gave me time to think. I felt awakened yet depressed of the thought of love and loss. Very thought provoking. '
'Good performances, wish it was longer. I enjoyed the chaos. Made me smile and also think about relationships and meaning.'
'I liked the thought and journeys, very interesting concept.'
I liked the unique nature. I've never been told by a cast member to leave and follow the instructions. The instructions were clear and made me really think and relate to the thoughts behind them e.g Don't forget chewing gum 'just in case'. It made me intrigued and excited.'
