i'm not (t)here anymore

An online performance for one person at a time which uses live video call to connect two people in different locations. The performance is about the meaning of ‘home’ and ‘identity’ linking two places together both virtually and emotionally through the use of technology. Each performance lasts 30 minutes per person.
When I was eight I wanted to be a backing dancer so I made up dance routines to each one of the Back Street Boys songs whilst singing at the top of my lungs. You were not there. But in some strange way you were. You have always been with me. We come from different places and different eras but something is the same. We are the same.
I'm not (t)here anymore
Devised and performed by Lauren Hart
The performance was originally created in 2016 for Wrought one to one performance in Sheffield. The performer was based in Berlin and the audience in Sheffield, in 2020 it was developed to suit and reach a wider audience. To book please click the link below

AUDIENCE FEEDBACK
'What a lovely chat which brought up some comforting feelings about the idea of home and where home is. Time to go home and drink some tea!'
Audience Member, Wrought Sheffield 2016
'It was lovely to chat to Lauren about the idea of time, space and what home means. An interesting 20 minutes.'
Audience Member, Wrought Sheffield 2016
'Thank you so much. I appreciated that the performance was sort of constructed around communication on communion from afar, especially when I have to achieve this with my family and friends from abroad, regardless of technical stuff, conversation subjects, etc. Very thought provoking. Looking forward to visiting Berlin now (and for the Postcard) Best wishes (and thank you again).'
Michaela Signorelli, Wrought Sheffield 2016
'Thanks for a lovely chat! Good luck in Berlin.'
Audience Member, Wrought Sheffield 2016
'Thanks Lauren, I hope we will meet one day. Maybe in Sheffield, maybe in Italy… or in Berlin. Good luck'
